The J.P. Getty Museum celebrates 35 years of its photographic collection with an exhibition showing works never yet displayed. "Unseen: 35 Years of Collection" presents 19th-century European and American photographs from the early days of the medium to contemporary works produced around the world, creating links across time and borders.

One of Valérie Belin's photographs from her Black Women series (2001) can be seen alongside works by Anthony Hernandez, Carrie Mae Weems, Dawoud Bey, William Ford, Dorthea Lange, Osamu Shiihara, Horst P. Horst, Mary Ellen Mark, and many others.
