A new series of "star portraits" that presents a variation on the same theme as the All Star series created in 2016. The series includes seven portraits of young women with very contemporary faces, dressed and styled differently, set against the backdrop of digitized 1950s American comics. The graphic treatment, through the layering of images, evokes the technique of screen printing, which contributes to the "iconic" character of these portraits. The title of the series refers to "Marilyn," considered an icon of pop culture. The titles given to these portraits (Niagara, The Fireball, Dangerous Years, Love Happy, Home Town Story, The Asphalt Jungle, Clash by Night) are inspired by the star's filmography. The prints were made using heliogravure, an ancient process considered the most beautiful method of printing photographic images. The proofs were made in an artisanal manner, and due to the random nature of the process, each copy can be considered unique.
