La Source, a group exhibition curated by Chiara Parisi, includes over 60 works from the permanent collection of the Fondation Carmignac, important loans, as well as recent artistic productions.

The exhibition finds its inspiration from the architecture of the Villa and the Île de Porquerolles, and focuses on two major themes: the feminine body and abstraction.

Chiara Parisi chose certain works, such as Lady_Stroke from the series “Painted Ladies” by Valérie Belin, questioning female identity that has its source in the plurality of representations of women.

Works from artists such as Egon Shiele, Roy Lichtenstein, Thomas Ruff, Gerhard Richter, Theaster Gates, Susan Rothenberg, and Bertrand Lavier, Sarah Lucas, Ed Ruscha, Fabrice Hyber, Cyprien Gaillard, among others are also included in the exhibition. Starting in June, the sculpture garden will feature the sounds of the group Soundwalk, whose work includes bits by Patti Smith and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
